Bo Huang

Dr. Bo Huang received his Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, China, followed by postdoctoral training at the Karolinska Institutet (Sweden), the University of Calgary (Canada), and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (USA). He is a professor and the deputy chairman of the Department of Immunology of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College. His research focuses on tumor immunology, immunotherapy, metabolism, mechano-medicine, and tumor cell microparticles. As a corresponding author, he published many high-profile research papers in Cancer Cell, Mol Cell, Sci Immunol, Sci Transl Med, Nat Mater, Nat Immunol, Nat Cell Biol, Nat Biomed Eng, and J Clin Invest. He developed drug-packaging tumor cell microparticles, which have been used to treat malignant pleural effusions and ascites in cancer patients with high efficacy and safety in the clinic.
