Dr. Kimitoshi Kimura is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan. He has undertaken research fellowships at Harvard University and at the National Institute of Neuroscience, Japan. Dr. Kimura’s research interests are in the areas of autoimmune diseases in the CNS such as MS, NMOSD, and MOGAD, and the immunological aspects of neurodegenerative diseases such as AD, with special interest in microglial function. He has received several recognitions such as the Best Research Award from The Japanese Society for Neuroimmunology, and the Top Downloaded Article Award of the Clinical and Experimental Neuroimmunology (2022).
